The Red Lantern
24 January 2014
A week from today is Lunar New Year Eve; it's so exciting. I didn't get into the Christmas spirit this year, but after drawing these collection, I feel the new year will turned a different leaf.
Today's ao dai has a small influence from the Western world, using a lace bodice as the main focal point and everything is white and subdued. Like I mentioned in my last post, the pants don't have to match the dress, it can be contrasting. In fact, it's more modern to have contrasting pants.
Enjoy.

Mrs. Brown III
14 January 2014
A few weeks ago in December I attended one of my good friend's wedding; it was so beautiful. I love it so much. But I knew I had an agenda while I was there, and it was to see what she chose as her gown and to emulate it in my drawing.
Today, I have finished drawing. She wore a strapless sweetheart with a five foot train, all in lace of course. Why would it be not. Also, she has sapphire suede Gucci shoes that totally a reminisce of Sex and the City the movie.
Enjoy.

A Little Applique Concoction
27 December 2013
Hello there, one holiday down and another is less than a week away. It seems like all we do is celebrate, and we need some fabulous clothes to welcomed these holidays and celebrations that are coming our ways.
For the New Year party, I have this concoction in mind. I forgot who designed this originally, but I saw it not too long ago, probably on Pinterest or a magazine. Forgive me. It is just a simple dress with a sheer netting with applique laces and details. and of course, some kicking shoes.
This is also my interpretation of Zoella on YouTube, she is a lifestyle blogger in the UK and shares interesting tidbits in her videos.
Enjoy.

Bride's Bouquet
20 November 2013
Good morning!! I have everyone are having a great day so far. I want to give something cute to add to your day. Here I have another wedding couture to add to my collection.
I have to admit, drawing wedding gowns is hard. There are so many ideas that I want to convey, but couldn't because of limitations of drawings. I could say lace, silk organza, chiffon, or beading and you would know what I'm talking about, but drawing it is another thing.
Today, I have another friend of my who is set to be married, and I just envisioned what her gown would be like. I hope when the day comes, it would be similar.
Enjoy.

Sailor Pluto Does Fashion Week
24 October 2013
GUESS WHAT??? Today is my birthday. I'm officially older, and to celebrate it, I have Sailor Pluto for you. A jetsetter, too. She had all her luggages ready to go, and wearing a cream lace dress to match the luxury.
I had trouble comprehending how to draw lace for a moment, because there so many small details, I didn't know whether to draw it all or where to begin. Luckily, I found tutorials over the web and I think it won't be the last of lace you see from me. This is my own design today, so no runway inspired, but it could hold its own.
Enjoy.
